Applications and Prospects of Enamel ready-to-use Powder in GGH Enamel Heat Transfer Elements
Enamel ready-to-use powder has wide applications in many fields, and its application scope continues to expand with industry development.
In the field of GGH enamel heat transfer elements, enamel ready-to-use powder plays a crucial role. GGH, or Gas-Gas Heater, is a core heat transfer device widely used in flue gas desulfurization systems in thermal power plants, waste incineration plants, and other locations. It effectively prevents equipment from being corroded by acidic gases, improving equipment lifespan and heat transfer efficiency.

The operating environment of a gas-cooled heating element (GGH) is extremely harsh, constantly exposed to flue gas containing large amounts of acidic gases (such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides), dust, and water vapor. Ordinary metal heat transfer elements are highly susceptible to corrosion and wear, leading to decreased heat transfer efficiency, shortened equipment lifespan, and frequent replacement and maintenance. This not only increases operating costs but can also disrupt production continuity.
However, an enamel coating formed using ready-to-use enamel powder effectively addresses this problem. By applying an enamel slurry made from ready-to-use enamel powder to the metal substrate of the GGH heat transfer element and then sintering it at high temperature, a tightly bonded and hard enamel coating is formed. This coating possesses excellent chemical stability, effectively resisting the erosion of acidic substances in the flue gas and preventing corrosion of the metal substrate. Simultaneously, the smooth surface of the enamel coating does not easily attract dust, reducing dust wear on the heat transfer element and simplifying cleaning, ensuring the cleanliness of the heat transfer element and maintaining stable heat transfer efficiency. It is precisely because enamel ready-to-use powder can provide reliable protection for GGH heat transfer elements that it is widely used in the GGH field.
According to relevant data, GGH enamel heat transfer elements prepared using enamel ready-to-use powder exhibit corrosion resistance 5-8 times higher than ordinary carbon steel. They can operate stably for 5-10 years in harsh flue gas environments, significantly reducing equipment maintenance costs and replacement frequency. With increasingly stringent environmental requirements, the demand for GGH enamel heat transfer elements in industries such as thermal power generation and waste incineration continues to grow, providing a vast market space for the application of enamel ready-to-use powder in this field. It is projected that the demand for enamel ready-to-use powder for GGH enamel heat transfer elements will grow at an annual rate of 8%-10% over the next 5 years.
